Out of School

Our Out of School program for ages 5-12 runs in the school year from 7am to 8:45am and 2:45pm to 5:45pm. Our staff work to create fun and educational activities for school aged children while incorporating the interests of the kids. We have adventurous full day activities when the school has Pro-D days. As well, we have an extensive summer camp program where children learn a variety of skills while doing new and fun activities.

Mikaela

Hello, I am Mikaela!
I was born and raised in the Philippines then moved here with my parents and younger sister when I was 13 years old.

I have always wanted to be an educator since I was a kid. I loved playing “teacher” by volunteering to be a mentor for kindergarten classes when I was nine, and I even helped my aunt, who is an educator, come up with activities for her class. More recently, I have obtained my ECE Assistant Certification, and I am also working towards obtaining my full ECE license.

I started at Creative Kids as a Practicum Student and eventually became a part of the team to be a Support in the OOS program. Since then I have truly seen the beauty in teaching. I love to see the different ways children learn based on their interests.

When I am not at work, I enjoy my free time going to karaoke with my friends, going to record shops, playing my guitar, and attending concerts (I am a big music person too!).

Edith

Hi! My name is Edith. I was born and raised in Hong Kong.

A few years ago, my family and I made the big move to Canada. It’s been a wonderful journey, and we’ve really come to love life here.

I started working as a support worker in a daycare after finishing my ECE Assistant certificate in December 2024. I’m still pretty new to the field, but I really enjoy being around kids, playing with them, helping them learn, and seeing how they grow every day. It’s something that makes me feel happy and fulfilled.

I’m really looking forward to being part of the Creative Kids team and getting to know everyone!

Maryn

Hi, I'm Maryn. After I graduated high school I decided I wanted to pursue a career working with children.

I began working for Creative kids in September 2025 as a Support worker. I want to create a fun and supportive environment where all children can participate and enjoy.

I am hoping to complete my Early Childhood Educator Certificate, to continue this passion of working with and supporting children.
