Substitute teachers

On occasions we need to employ substitute teachers. We always bring in qualified educators to work in place of one of the team members here. We try to ensure that the substitute educators are familiar with the centre and the routines that we have here.

Jackie

Hi I'm Jackie,

I retired in 2018, but my heart strings keep pulling me back, so I substitute regularly.

I have been here at Creative Kids since 2001. I obtained my Early Childhood Education Certificate in 2003. I went on to complete my Infant Toddler certificate in 2005. I worked as a supervisor here at Creative Kids and I enjoyed my position working in all of the programs because I loved spending time with all the different age groups.

When I am not working, my husband and I enjoy travelling. We have been to continents and too many countries to count. We plan on seeing the world throughout our lives, one cruise at a time.

I work as a travel agent in m spare time.

Kelsey

Hi I'm Kelsey, I started at the daycare in September of 2020. I am enjoying getting to know all of the staff, the children as well as the parents. I have my Early Childhood Educator Assistant Licence, and am in school undertaking a course in Counselling.

I have had plenty of experience working with kids and I first discovered my passion for working with all ages when I was life guarding during my high school years.

I am a calm, patient and creative individual. Some of my other passions include art, I love to paint and draw, my cats and spending time with my family.

My name is Alexandra, I have worked at Creative Kids since 2014 as an out of school teacher. However, I have been with the centre since its opening in 1998. As I started at the centre as a child I have a greater understanding of what the children look for in a great and fun experience. I have a passion for teaching young minds as well as learning from them.

I have a passion for Disney, and love to share this with the children! I am a bachelor graduate of Simon Fraser University and in 2021 I completed my PDP to become and Elementary school teacher.

I will continue to substitute at Creative Kids, as I love to spend time with the children and families here.

Hello my name is Daisy, I am a blue heeler, golden retriever, border collie, Burmese mountain dog cross. I have trained as an assistant dog, getting my service dog certificate.

I love children and have lots of fun playing soccer, running and learning new tricks with the kids. I am very friendly and love all people.

I like to spend my time on long hikes, barking at squirrels and eating just about anything you give me!
